The mission of the 人文科学系 is to prepare students for employment &/或人类发展研究生院 & 家庭科学, & 食物、营养、 & community health sciences to promote positive well-being, healthy relationships, & 为个人、家庭、 & 多元化的全球环境中的社区. To achieve this mission, the 人文科学系 will:

●提供高品质, rigorous plan- of- study for each of its undergraduate degree programs within the 人文科学系; thereby preparing its students to achieve scholarships that allows them to succeed in graduate school or in 专业 employment; develop leadership skills and serve communities;

●support the Land-Grant function of the University in the areas of teaching, 研究, and extension services while establishing relationships that help meet current and further community needs and responding to demands of a democratic and constantly changing society;

The mission of the Human Development and Family Science program is to prepare students for employment or graduate schools in programs that promote quality of life for individuals, 家庭和社区.
